Rotating ImagesSituated immediately north of the City of Toronto, York Region extends north to the southern shores of Lake Simcoe and is comprised of nine municipalities, Aurora, East Gwillimbury, Georgina, King, Markham, Newmarket, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, or Whitchurch-Stouffville.

York Region is easily accessible via major highways 401, 400, 404, 407 and 7, and features the longest street in the world, Yonge Street, as its central corridor. Pearson International Airport is a short drive away and regional air access is provided by the region's Buttonville Airport.
